Frottage by Avagail Cabral

Ava is learning about texture, one of the elements of art.  There are three catagories of textures: real, invented, and simulated. Frottage is the art technique used while learning about real textures.  Real objects are placed under the paper and rubbed with a crayon.  Making a collection of rubbings into a finished composition is called Frottage.  Students are required to overlay two colors and/or textures throughout their design.
