This watercolor still-life finally came to fruition. Victoria had all the patience needed to hand build all the different textures displayed in this composition. All the contrasting parts had to be layered with varying colors and values using a variety of brushwork. She used negative space to create the veins of the basil leaves, dry brush to stipple the cheese surface, and wet into wet for the garlic just to mention a few. I am so proud of Tory and her fabulous painting. To top it off this piece was selected to be in the Spring 2016 Celebrating Art book.
